Exhibition Summary

Tempera painting (also known as egg tempera) has a rich history as a medium of choice for artists from ancient times to today, and is even an older form of painting than oil. In Tempera, learn the process, materials, and unique qualities that artists use to create art with this painting style.

This free, focus exhibition featured tempera paintings from Andy Warhol, Paul Cadmus, Andrew Wyeth, Mary Obering, Jane Irish, and more, including a Renaissance-era painting on loan from the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, OK.
